The Florist Frog - Essential Tool for Flower Arrangements
Flower Arrangement Success Starts with a Florist Frog
At the Wallflower Academy, we champion the proper mechanics of flower arranging. By using only vessels with water for all of our cut stems, we ensure they continue to hydrate and last much longer, giving you the confidence that your arrangements will stand the test of time.
One of my favorite tools to work with is our clear 2.75-inch acrylic suction cup florist frog (Amazon). It sticks to glass, china, porcelain, granite, and marble.
It holds the weight of any cut flower stems, foliage, and branches, with several spikes over its surface. This makes it easy to gently push your stems down onto it and securely hold them in that exact spot while building.
You can easily slip-fill stems in between as you create. The florist frog (Amazon) is suctioned securely to the vessel, so it will not move and will not shift the existing flowers that are already placed.
When you have finished your creation, add clean warm water to cover the entire florist frog (Amazon).
Maintenance for your florist frog (Amazon) arrangement is so easy. Each day dump the water and refill it with clean water. This guarantee will sustain the life of your arrangement for up to 20 days or even longer.
Your florist frog (Amazon) can be reused again and again. Soak the florist frog (Amazon) in hot water with a bit of bleach, to remove any bacteria residue, rinse and away you go!
